Nashville Best Of 2026 · Best Nashville Late Night Restaurant
Dino’s
Burgers until 3 a.m., cold canned beer, and a shrine to Dolly Parton. East Nashville’s oldest dive bar is where the city eats after dark, and it’s our pick for the best late-night restaurant in Nashville.
The Verdict
Best Nashville Late Night Restaurant: Why Dino’s Earns the Title
When the rest of Nashville’s kitchens go dark, Dino’s is just hitting its stride. East Nashville’s oldest dive bar serves its famous burgers until 3 a.m. every single night, which has made it the after-shift headquarters for the city’s bartenders, cooks, and musicians. The menu is short and unfussy, and that’s exactly the point.
The burger is the star, griddled on a flattop you can watch from the bar and good enough to win over Anthony Bourdain. Add animal-style fries smothered in Velveeta and grilled onions, a cold canned beer, and walls covered in Dolly Parton memorabilia, and you have a late-night experience that could only happen in Nashville.

A classic griddled burger with crispy edges, cooked on the flattop right behind the bar. It stands toe to toe with any burger in town, at any hour.
Animal-Style Fries
Fries smothered in melty Velveeta, grilled onions, and special sauce. Messy, glorious, and exactly what you want after last call.
Hot Chicken Sandwich
It’s Nashville, so of course there’s hot chicken. Regulars call it Dino’s sleeper hit and the perfect way to end a long night.
The Story
East Nashville’s Oldest Dive Bar
The brick building at 411 Gallatin Avenue has stood since the 1930s, housing a string of diners and beer joints before Dino’s moved in during the 1970s. Over the decades it became a true East Nashville institution, known for cold beer, cheap burgers, and a crowd that shows up after everyone else has closed.
When Miranda Whitcomb Pontes and Alex Wendkos bought the bar, regulars worried it would lose its grit. Instead, they kept the wood paneling, the Christmas lights, and the dive-bar soul, then added a backyard complete with Dolly’s Lemonade Stand, a seasonal bar shaped like a giant lemon.
“Perhaps the world’s most perfect dive bar.”
