The Verdict

Why Biscuit Love Earns the Title

Nashville takes brunch seriously, and no spot captures the city’s appetite quite like Biscuit Love. Every buttermilk biscuit is made from scratch and turned into something memorable, from the famous East Nasty, loaded with fried chicken, white cheddar, and sausage gravy, to shrimp and grits and a biscuit cinnamon roll. Best of all, it’s brunch every day of the week, not just on weekends.

Yes, there’s often a line, but it’s part of the experience, and it moves quickly because you order before you sit. Grab a fresh-squeezed mimosa or a Bloody Mary, and don’t leave without an order of Bonuts. Karl and Sarah Worley grew Biscuit Love from a food truck into a Nashville institution while keeping it family-owned and focused on local ingredients.

The Story

From an Airstream to The Gulch

After attending culinary school together at Johnson & Wales University, Karl and Sarah Worley launched Biscuit Love as a food truck in the spring of 2012 with just three items on the menu. After a year in a borrowed truck, they unveiled Lilly, an Airstream trailer turned kitchen, and became weekend staples at the Franklin Farmers Market and in 12 South.

In January 2015 they opened their first brick-and-mortar restaurant in The Gulch, and the lines haven’t stopped since. Biscuit Love has grown to locations in Hillsboro Village, Franklin, and even Cincinnati, but it remains family-owned and still makes every biscuit from scratch.

“Real ingredients. Always made with love.”
