Bringle’s Smoking Oasis
Jumbotron screens, an astroturf yard full of picnic tables, bourbon cocktails, and West Texas–style barbecue from one of Nashville’s most celebrated pitmasters. Bringle’s is our pick for the best place to watch the game in Nashville.
The Verdict
Best Nashville Sports Bar: Why Bringle’s Earns the Title
Plenty of Nashville bars have a few TVs, but Bringle’s Smoking Oasis turns game day into a backyard party. Set on a triangular lot in the Nations, it fills its outdoor yard with picnic tables, an open-air bar, and giant jumbotron-style screens, so nearly every seat has a view of the action. On fall Saturdays it becomes college football headquarters, with every SEC matchup on the screens and every fan base welcome.
And the food beats standard bar fare by a mile. Pitmaster Carey Bringle smokes brisket, beef ribs, pulled pork, and house-made jalapeño cheddar sausage low and slow over real wood, alongside sides like Mexican street corn and chorizo queso. Add bourbon cocktails, a rotating wall of local drafts, and a family- and dog-friendly vibe, and it’s the best seat in town on game day.

What to Order
Game Day Fuel
Grab a picnic table, pick your screen, and order enough to share. The board rotates weekly.
Smoked Brisket
Texas-style and bark-on, sliced fatty or lean. It’s the pitmaster’s pick and the perfect plate for a long afternoon of football.
Smoked Pastrami
Peppery, smoky, and piled high. It’s a Bringle’s specialty you won’t find on the menu at his Peg Leg Porker restaurant.
Bourbon & Local Drafts
Hand-built Tennessee bourbon cocktails and a rotating wall of local Nashville drafts. And on Fridays, don’t miss the smoked prime rib special while it lasts.
The Story
From Peg Leg Porker to the Oasis
Carey Bringle is a Nashville native who has been competing in barbecue for more than 27 years. After beating cancer at 17, a battle that cost him his leg, he poured that fire into barbecue and opened Peg Leg Porker in 2013, which earned attention from the Food Network, Texas Monthly, Garden & Gun, and more.
In 2021, he opened Bringle’s Smoking Oasis in a former service station in the Nations to bring the smoke of the Southwest home. With its outdoor bar, big screens, and picnic tables, it quickly became a neighborhood gathering spot for families, dog owners, and sports fans alike.
“Low and slow. No shortcuts. Let the smoke do the talking.”
